Sagittarius Full Moon
insight & recipe
It’s time to come alive.
In the early hours of Sunday, May 31st - the moon illuminates the sky in the sign of Sagittarius. This is the second full moon of the month which classifies it as a Blue Moon. Because this occurrence only happens every few years (hence the saying, “once in a blue moon”), it makes the energy of this full moon even more potent than the one at the beginning of the month. Consider this a second chance to let go of whatever you’ve been clinging to for the sake of familiarity - now is the time to leave the comfort zone for good! The fiery nature of this sign urges us to shake things up and make bold moves going forward. A few themes for this lunar placement include truth seeking, expansion, and adventure.
Sagittarius encourages us to rise from the ashes and be reborn from the very thing that destroyed us, much like a phoenix. Use this moon as a portal and let it guide you as you transform pain into power! This is the sign of the philosopher, the student, and the teacher. Ask yourself, “how has this experience changed me?”, “what have I learned from this lesson?”, and “how can I share this wisdom with others?”. Perhaps your ‘higher purpose’ can be discovered through this life-changing journey.
The nature of The Archer is to propel forward, eager to launch into a different direction at any moment. Allow this force to jumpstart your own momentum down a new path. With Jupiter as the ruling planet, luck is on your side. Be optimistic that everything will work out for the better! Let go of the things that are preventing you from exploring all the world has to offer. It’s time to release the life raft and take a risk, have faith in the process and you will safely float into an ocean of unimagined possibilities! Shed your limiting beliefs and give yourself the freedom that you deserve.
In order to align yourself with this moon’s energy you could:
break-through mental barriers
go thrill seeking (rollercoaster ride, sky diving, rock climbing, etc)
book an archery or horseback riding lesson
go on a hike or other outdoor adventure
take a spontaneous road trip
enroll in a new class to expand your mind
